SimpliFocus: a deliberately simple iOS focus timer
SimpliFocus is an iOS focus app I built and shipped around a simple idea: starting a focus session should take one tap, without adding another complicated productivity system.
The product
The app uses a calm, Pomodoro-inspired timer for work and rest cycles. It keeps session controls concise, shows focus progress when it is useful, and avoids ads, account sign-up requirements, and crowded dashboards.
What the app includes
- One-tap focus sessions
- A minimal timer for work and breaks
- Session history and streaks available without making them the center of the experience
- Lock Screen and Live Activity support
- Quick controls for session and break lengths
Product approach
I treated restraint as a product requirement. The goal was not to add every possible productivity feature; it was to make the useful core feel immediate and easy to return to.
Why it is relevant
SimpliFocus is evidence of my approach to iOS product work: make the first-use path clear, keep the interface focused, and ship the details that support daily use.
